COLUMBUS - Sheriff's reports say a car collided with a deer just south of Columbus.
No injuries were reported in the accident that occurred early Wednesday morning, say reports. The accident left the vehicle with $5,000 in damage, and occurred south of the Highway 30/81 junction, says sheriff reports.
Roughly two hours later, officers were called to a location on Highway 30, just west of the junction, for a deer carcass lying in the road, says reports. The carcass was removed from the roadway, but it was not reported wether or not the deer was killed as a result of a vehicle accident.
