Callaway Resident Joins CNEDD As Disaster Recovery Coordinator

Central Nebraska Economic Development District is proud to announce the addition of our newest team member – Carla Kimball, who lives in Callaway, Nebraska.  She began her duties on Monday, August 19th, and is already identifying programs that can help our region. Carla comes to us with a tremendous passion for helping communities, with previous experience in serving as the Callaway Economic Development Director.

Her role as Disaster Recovery Coordinator will be vital to helping each of our counties and communities with disaster recovery through long-term planning, identification of potential funding resources, and partnering with our area emergency managers to assist communities with disaster and mitigation planning for the future.

“This year’s disaster was a terrible blow to our region, but we know that rural Nebraskans are resilient.  Our goal is to play a role in helping our communities recover as quickly as possible to enhance our economic resiliency for the future,” says Judy Petersen, CNEDD Executive Director.  “We want to thank the Nebraska Investment Finance Authority for their generous funding which enabled us to hire Carla for this important position.”
