Broken Bow to host Gothenburg for homecoming

The Broken Bow Indians will host the Gothenburg Swedes for its annual homecoming football game Friday night at Mark Russell Field in Broken Bow.  After starting the season 0-3, Bow has won its last 2 games by a combined score of 78-7 including a 51-0 win at Minden last week.  Gothenburg’s season has been somewhat the opposite.  After starting the season 3-0, the Swedes have lost their last 2.  This is a series that has produced many exciting and down to the wire moments and Friday’s matchup could easily produce another.  The game will be broadcast live on KCNI 1280 AM, 96.3 FM, and kcni1280.com.  Kickoff is scheduled for 7pm with pregame coverage beginning around 6:40.  Also, KCNI/KBBN will partner with News Channel Nebraska to provide a special television broadcast of the game.  Live TV coverage can be accessed by going to sandhillsexpress.com and clicking on the NCN Sports Now link.  NCN has also partnered with several cable companies around the state so check your local listings to see if News Channel Nebraska is included in your cable package.  The game can be found on Great Plains Communications cable channel 22.

Earlier this week, Broken Bow head football coach visited with KCNI/KBBN Sports Director Brent Apperson about Friday night’s game.  The interview with coach Garner is listed below.
