Broken Bow Sweeps Doubleheader at Gothenburg

The Broken Bow boys and girls basketball teams each picked up victories over the Gothenburg Swedes Thursday night. The Broken Bow girls picked up their 6th win of the season with a 52-45 victory. The 52 points was Broken Bow’s best offensive output of the season so far. The 3 point line was big for the Lady Indians as they knocked down 7 from long range. Bow was led by senior Jory Lowe who finished with a team high 21. Gracie Stienike led Gothenburg with 23 points.

The Broken Bow boys improved to 12-2 on the season with a 55-42 win. The Indians were led by Kevin Linn and Padyn Borders who each finished in double figures. Linn led all scorers with 16 and Borders added 11. Bennett Folkers led the way for the Swedes with a team high 9 points. Broken Bow will host Valentine in a doubleheader Friday night then prepare for the Southwest Conference tournament which begins next week.
