Broken Bow Public Library Hosting Dr. Jim Sherwood For “Travels Through Cornhusker History”

The Broken Bow Public Library is pleased to host a special event on Tuesday, November 5th at 6:30 p.m.! Join us for “Travels Through Cornhusker History” presented by Dr. Jim Sherwood.

Jim served as an Associated Dean at UNL and in 1984 he was contacted by the University of Nebraska Press and asked to author the first serious history of the University of Nebraska football program, resulting in his book Nebraska Football: The Coaches, The Players, The Experience. In the 1990s, Jim served as a consultant on NET’s “Husker Century” and “Coach Devaney” programs.

His program at the library will take us back to the pre-Devaney years of Nebraska football from 1890 to 1960. Jim’s program is sponsored by the Broken Bow Library Foundation and is open to the public.
