Broken Bow Man Facing Murder Charges Waives Prelim–Esch Will Appear in District Court

BROKEN BOW–A preliminary hearing for a Broken Bow man facing murder charges has been waived in Custer County Court.

Trenton R. Esch, 44, is currently facing alleged charges of possession of a firearm by a prohibited person (class ID felony), use of a firearm during the commission of a felony (class IC felony), and first-degree murder (class IA felony).

The preliminary hearing was originally set for the morning of Friday, August 14 but according to the clerk’s office of the Custer County Court, Esch’s attorney James Martin Davis filed a written waiver on Monday, August 10 to waive the preliminary hearing.

Esch is now scheduled appear in Custer County District Court on Thursday, August 27 at 9:30 a.m. where he will be arraigned on the aforementioned charges.
