The Broken Bow wrestling team went 1-1 in duals at the Valentine Triangular Thursday evening. In a battle of 2 of the top 3 rated teams in Class C, the top rated and defending state champion Valentine Badgers edged 3rd rated Broken Bow 34-29. The match of the night came at 145 lbs. where Valentine’s Chase Olsen outlasted Broken Bow’s Cole Ulmer by a 2-1 decision in double overtime. It was the second to last match in the dual and helped secure the victory for Valentine who also went on to defeat Gothenburg 50-29. Broken Bow also defeated Gothenburg by a score of 52-24.
