Broken Bow City Council  hears Annual Library Report

The Broken Bow City Council met in regular session on Tuesday, February 22nd. After approval of the Consent Agenda, Library Director Megan Svoboda presented the Annual Library Report for Fiscal Year 2020-21. Statistics kept by the Broken Bow Public Library during that fiscal year, show users saved nearly $363,000 by borrowing materials from the library, almost 16,000 people visited the library, approximately 13,000 attended 365 library programs, and the library’s study rooms and multi-purpose rooms were used 427 times. Under New Business, approval was given for Council President David Schmidt and Deputy Clerk Megan Linn to be added as authorized signers for all city bank accounts and former Council President Jacob Holcomb’s name was removed from the same accounts. The Council also approved an Interlocal Agreement for one year with the Broken Bow Township for shared services and approved the TIF Bond Interest Rate for MW Real Estate Investment Group, LLC for 2.75%.  The Council then entered into closed session to discuss real estate purchases. No vote was taken following closed session and the meeting was adjourned.  The next meeting for the Broken Bow City Council will be Tuesday, March 8th.
