Broken Bow Chamber Of Commerce “Crazy Thursday” To Kick Of A Wild Weekend Of Events

BROKEN BOW— It may only be the second week in July, but the Broken Bow Chamber of Commerce has moved their Third Thursday to coincide with Crazy Days this weekend. Now re-named “Crazy Thursday,” the Chamber is looking forward to having lots of events, games, and more taking place!

Crazy Thursday will kick off with a hotdog feed by the First Presbyterian Church at the Broken Bow Downtown Square at 5 PM. The first 200 people through the line will receive a free hotdog, chips, and drink! Following the hotdog feed, stick around the square for top notch entertainment from local talent.

Ansley’s own Mel Shepherd will be joined by the trio of Alex Wenquist, Weston Walz, and Graycee Oeltjen, also known as Perfect Third, at the bandstand around 5:15 PM to play music until 7 PM.

The TeamMates Mentoring Program and the Broken Bow Area Rotary will also be in the city square raising money with a sidewalk chalk contest along with selling water and popsicles. All ages are welcome to take part in the chalk contest that begins at 4 PM and there is no fee to enter. Chalk will be provided and prizes will be awarded by age group.

If you would like to vote on your favorite artwork, tickets will be available for purchase at the Rotary table. 100% of the funds raised will be donated to the TeamMates Program.

Another big highlight will be Jennie M. Melham Memorial Medical Center bringing their labor and delivery buggy to the square to give information about the changes at the hospital. Starting on December 1, 2019 Melham Medical Center will be delivering babies at the hospital. Staff will be present at the square to give out information and to answer questions concerning the labor and delivery addition to hospital.

Other events taking place on Crazy Thrusday include the Adventures in Color art show at the Wild Rose Art Gallery from 5-7 PM. You can also check out the DC Lynch Carnival from Thursday, July 11 through Sunday, July 14 at the Custer County Fairground from 6-11 PM daily.
