Brent Clark is Currently Lone Finalist for City Administrator in Grand Island

The Grand Island Independent Newspaper released news today that Broken Bow City Administrator Brent Clark is the sole finalist for the position of City Administrator with the City of Grand Island.

In a press release, the city announced Brent Clark, who is currently the city administrator and zoning administrator in Broken Bow, is a finalist for the position. He is the only finalist at this time.

Clark has served in his current role since February 2015. Prior to that, he served as the city administrator and treasurer at Dakota City and has held various other positions in South Sioux City and Wayne.

In his current capacity, he has administered daily operations of the municipality and utility department, prepared an annual $26 million dollar budget, supervised all city functions and oversaw the development and revitalization of over $11.7 million dollars in public projects. Clark has also been active in numerous local, state and national organizations.

The position, currently held by Marlan Ferguson, is appointed by the mayor and runs concurrently with the mayoral term. Ferguson plans to retire at the end of the year but will remain with the city during a transitional period.
