BROKEN BOW— Sometimes things just fall into place and Computer All-Around owner Dustin Schwartz is a perfect example of that. Dustin got his start at Mullen High School where he was asked to become a student aid for the Computer Tech position.
“Yvonne Andrews asked me to be the student aid for the computer tech position,” said Dustin. “I went around the last period of the day and would go around to the classrooms and fix the teacher’s computers and that’s what got me started.”
Dustin said that high school was where he became very interested in computers and decided that this was something he wanted to pursue. Following graduation from Mullen, he started his post-secondary education at Doane University in Crete, NE where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science.
After college, Dustin began working for a few different businesses to help gain experience and is now “looking to be his own boss.”
Dustin said that he made his way to Broken Bow after Adams Land & Cattle brought him in to help improve some of the systems on their lots including their WiFi. Now, Dustin said the Broken Bow Chamber of Commerce is what is keeping him in the area.
“The [Broken Bow] Chamber is actually what kept me here. They have a great source of resources that you can use to help get a business started in the area,” Dustin said.
On Friday, March 6 Dustin officially joined the Broken Bow Chamber of Commerce as a member with a ribbon-cutting on the square in the bandstand.
Dustin said, “I’m still expanding on my business, so there will be more to come. I’m currently looking for a building in town so that people have a place that they can stop in and talk and say hi and drop computers off if they need it.”
While the search for a storefront continues, Dustin said that he will meet people anywhere to help them with their computer needs.
