Bench Warrant Issued For Custer County Supervisor Doug Stunkel For Failure To Appear

CUSTER COUNTY— A bench warrant has been issued against Custer County Supervisor Doug Stunkel after he has failed to appear in Custer County Court on Monday, August 12 for multiple traffic violations.

Special prosecutor from Buffalo County, Shawn Eatherton, informed Judge Jeffery Wightman that this was the second or third time that Stunkel had not appeared on the charges and he has also not had any contact with Stunkel.

Judge Wightman informed the court that bail notice was given for failing to appear previously and Stunkel had also signed the ticket from when he had initially been pulled over.

Judge Wightman issued the bench warrant for failure to appear and ordered that bond be set at 10% of $1,000.
