Area Man Allegedly Choked, Raped Woman, Said She Wanted it

PETERSBURG - An area man is alleged to have choked, tied-up, and raped a woman and said afterward that she wanted it, after meeting her online. David Kinnan, 35, is charged with 1st degree forcible sexual assault, strangulation, false imprisonment, and terroristic threats after he allegedly raped, choked, and tied-up a woman on February 4th, says court records. Kinnan allegedly committed the acts at the woman's home between midnight and 4:20 a.m., and told the woman that she needed the rape to happen, says the affidavit. The woman was able to escape the residence at roughy 4:20 a.m., and authorities later returned at approximately 6:30 a.m. and found Kinnan lying in the woman's bed. Kinnan told authorities during an interview, that he thought a man had to commit four felonies, in order to have sex with a woman these days, says the affidavit. Authorities say that Kinnan's story changed several times, but says the woman's story remained the same after several reports to several different agencies. Kinnan told authorities the two met online, and said that he has had similar nights with several different woman, says the affidavit. The woman told authorities that after the incident, she heard from other people that Kinnan has raped other woman, according to the affidavit. A warrant was issued for Kinnan's arrest on February 9th, and his residence is listed in Oakdale, says court records.
