A 17-year-old was fatally injured Sunday morning south of Lincoln when her vehicle drifted into the oncoming lane and collided nearly head-on with a pickup truck, according to the Lancaster County Sheriff's Office.
The Sheriff's Office says that Brianna Titterington of nearby rural Roca, Nebraska, was alone in her Chevrolet Malibu when she struck a Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck about 9:30 a.m. Sunday. The crash occurred on Saltillo Road near 68th Street.
Gene Hagstrom, 60, the driver of the pickup was taken to Bryan Medical Center West Campus with minor injuries.
Titterington was taken to Bryan West where she died Monday.
The preliminary investigation indicates that seat belts were in use. Alcohol and drugs were not believed to be a factor.
