1 Transported After 23rd Street Collision

COLUMBUS - Police cited a man for running a red light, after a two vehicle collision at 23rd Street and 26th Avenue. Police reports say a 37-year-old man was driving westbound on 23rd Street in a 2012 Toyota Tundra, when he collided with a 2005 Honda Pilot, driven by a 33-year-old woman, at the 26th Avenue intersection. The woman was traveling southbound on 26th Avenue at the time of the accident, say police. A witness told police, the man driving the Tundra had a red light at the time of the accident, while the woman in the Honda had a green light.  The Honda Pilot was considered a total loss, and the driver was transported to the hospital by Columbus Fire and Rescue, says reports. The Tundra suffered $7,500 in damage, and the driver was cited, said police. The accident occurred at 2:12 p.m. on Saturday, according to police reports.
