Nebraska Sports Recruiting News

After a change of heart, Alexis Markowski will stay in state to play college basketball.  The 6’3″ center from Lincoln Pius X announced on Twitter Sunday that will play for the Nebraska Women’s basketball team after previously committing to South Dakota State.  No player dominated Class A this past season like Markowski, who was the centerpiece of a state championship for the Thunderbolts averaging 21 points and 12 rebounds per game.  Alexis is the daughter of former Husker men’s basketball player Andy Markowski.

Kamonte Grimes, a 3 star prospect out of Naples, Florida used twitter to announce his commitment to the Nebraska football team Sunday evening.  Grimes’ pledge pushed the Husker 2021 recruiting class back to 14 known members after outside linebacker Will Schweitzer of California announced Sunday that he was flipping his commitment from Nebraska to Notre Dame.
