Nebraska softball earns bounce back win against No. 15 Utah at Kajikawa Classic

TEMPE, Ariz. — Nebraska bounced back from a late Friday night loss to No. 23 Arizona State with a 5-0 softball victory Saturday over No. 15 Utah at the Kajikawa Classic.

Kaylan Jablonski earned her second victory in her first start of the season, giving up four hits and with no walks on 84 pitches in six innings. Freshman Olivia Ferrell pitched the seventh inning and struck out two Utes.

Jablonski, a senior from Omaha Skutt, had a home run to lead off the second inning.

The Huskers added four runs in the top of the seventh, behind an RBI double to center fielder by Lexey Kneib, a run-scoring single by Tristen Edwards, and an RBI single by Alyvia Simmons.
