Nebraska Baseball to Play at Michigan State this Weekend

The Nebraska baseball team continues atop the Big Ten baseball standings as they maintain a half game lead over second place Michigan.  The Wolverines have won five in a row but the Huskers have won 4 in a row and 13 of their last 15 to stay at the top of the standings.  The Huskers are coming off a three game sweep at Penn State last weekend.  Nebraska is back on the road this weekend as they travel to take on Michigan State.  The Spartans are 11-15 and have struggled as of late losing their last five games.  Nebraska head coach Will Bolt met with the media Wednesday for his weekly press conference.  Bolt said one of the impressive things about this year’s team is the way it has come together and been consistent.  It’s something the coach says is not always common.

Nebraska will open its weekend series Friday at 4 p.m. with games to follow on Saturday at 2 p.m. and on Sunday at 11 a.m.  Games Saturday and Sunday will be broadcast live on KBBN 95.3 FM with coverage on the Huskers Sports Network beginning at 1:30 Saturday and 10:30 Sunday.
