University of Nebraska Athletic Director Bill Moos joined host Greg Sharpe on the Sports Nightly talk show which airs on KCNI at 6pm courtesy of the Huskers Sports Network. One of the main topics of conversation was Nebraska football with the annual spring game scheduled for Saturday at Memorial Stadium. Moos said that he recently visited with head coach Scott Frost who said that this has been the best spring practice since he arrived as head coach.
Moos said that he believes it is “realistic” for the football team to achieve 8-9 wins this season. He said the Huskers will have to bring it every game and said one of the keys will be to “protect our home field”. Nebraska is just 8-9 at home since 2018.
Moos anticipated that Nebraska would have Memorial Stadium at full capacity this fall amid falling numbers of COVID cases.
