Nebraska and Creighton volleyball, both fresh off claiming a conference title a day earlier, are set to be NCAA tournament hosts.
The Huskers (26-4, 19-1 Big Ten), who finished tied atop the Big Ten after sweeping Iowa on Saturday, were the fifth overall seed.
They enter the tournament on a 13-game winning streak. NU will play Stony Brook (18-12) at 7 p.m. Friday. Florida State (18-10) and Washington State (17-15) will also come to Lincoln for the first- and second-round matches.
The Bluejays (25-6, 16-2), who won a fourth consecutive Big East tournament title, are the ninth overall seed. It’s the first time CU earned a top-16 spot to host the NCAA tournament opening-round games.
CU’s first match will be at 7 p.m. Friday against Coastal Carolina (20-7). Missouri State (28-5) and Michigan State (21-8) will also come to Omaha.
