GICC Tops Concordia, Advances to Semis

LINCOLN – GICC is heading back to the state semis for the first time since 2011 after a hard-fought win over Concordia on Thursday.

The match at North Star High School looked like it was going to take five sets but the Crusaders rallied in the fourth to top Concordia 3-1 (25-21, 22-25 25-20, 26-24).

A cut to the forehead also didn’t keep Megan Woods from leading the Crusaders with 25 kills and six aces.

GICC with face Lincoln Lutheran at 3 PM on Friday at Pinnacle Bank Arena.
