OMAHA – The Crusaders made a strong statement against the best the state has to offer on Tuesday.
No. 5 GICC traveled to Omaha and topped defending champs and No. 9 Omaha Concordia 25-19, 25-14 before dropping No. 1 and previously unbeaten Lincoln Lutheran 25-22, 25-22.
Megan Woods led the Crusaders with 21 kills on the night, and 13 of them coming against Lincoln Lutheran. Kamryn Willman also posted double-digit kills with 11.
The Crusaders next head to the Holdrege Invite on Saturday.
