Raider Men Dominate Mount Marty in Home Opener

COLUMBUS – The Raider men’s basketball team put the pedal to the metal Thursday night, as they put together a dominating home opening performance.

Latrell Talley (19 pts, 14 reb) and Bennett Nelson (18 pts, 11 reb) both cashed in double-doubles in the home opener, while Jaxon Simons (19 pts, 8 reb, 4 ast) and Zack Rice-Gordon (17 pts) also put in solid efforts in their 2017-18 home debut.

Marquis Dotson came of the bench for the Raiders, but still snagged 14 points in his 26 minutes of court time.

The Raiders took an 11 point lead into half time, 44-33, against Mounty Marty JV, and continued the pace in the second half, outscoring MM 53-43, to win 97-76.

With the win, the men advance to 2-0 on the season, and will next host Hastings JV on Monday at 5 p.m .
