Muddy River Battalion Prevails In Civil War Re-enactment

NEBRASKA CITY – The Muddy River Battalion was pushed from a soggy battlefield on Saturday after three days of rainfall, but came back Sunday before a crowd of 200 people to prevail over the Rebels in a Civil War Re-enactment. The encampment at Wildwood Park was peaceful with cooking, card playing and cricket hours before the battle. James Croffutt of St. Joseph talks about the battle ahead. The Rebel forces included a calvary unit and the Elliot Scout bushwackers. Keith Rockefeller of Lincoln was fighting for the First Nebraska Regiment.
