More snow is likely late Thursday into Saturday

Forecasters say there's a good chance of snow for southeast Nebraska, southwest Iowa and northwest Missouri from Thursday night into Saturday.
The National Weather Service office in Valley said 1 to 3 inches will be possible across the region late Thursday into Friday. The Friday morning commute could be messy, the weather service said.
An additional round of snow Friday night into Saturday could drop another 1 to 2 inches on the region, forecasters said. Ryan McPike, a KMTV meteorologist, said a computer forecasting model was calling for 5 to 6 inches of snow. Another was predicting 13 inches Thursday night into Saturday.
"We are talking about accumulating snow later this week,'' he said. "Somebody is going to get a lot of snow.''

Road conditions
Omaha's main streets were in decent shape early Wednesday, plowed and salted. Residential streets were plowed for the most part, but still snow-packed in some locations.
The Nebraska Department of Transportation's website showed the western two-thirds of the state's roads were normal to wet, while most eastern and southeastern roadways were completely covered. Roads in the east and northeast were partially covered.

At 6:30 a.m. Wednesday, the weather service said Eppley Airfield had 0.6 inches; Florence, 0.7; Valley, 0.7; Lincoln, 0.6; Wilber, 3.7; Grand Island, 3.0; Hastings, 2.0; Valentine, 0.3.
McPike reported these totals in inches Wednesday morning: Millard, 1.0; Offutt Air Force Base, 0.8; Gretna, 1.6; Tecumseh, 4.0; Wilber, 3.7.
