Hastings expecting rain and then accumulating snow and wind

HASTINGS, NE (National Weather Service) – Expect wind gusts on Wednesday of up to 60 mph!

A strong storm system moving through the Plains will bring at times moderate to heavy rain, and then the chance for snow accumulations. At this time, confidence in snowfall amounts is low, as a narrow band of higher amounts is possible. The best chances for rain will come tonight and continue through Wednesday, with the potential for snow mixing in Wednesday night into Thursday. In addition to the snow, strong north to northwest winds are expected to develop, with wind gusts near 60 MPH possible. Even light snow amounts combined with those winds could result in hazardous travel conditions! Be sure to stay up to date with the latest forecasts, as adjustments are likely.
