A big load of Easter baskets is headed to Iowa to cheer up children impacted by the Missouri River flooding. The baskets sent from Michigan will be given out Friday and Saturday at the Fremont County Emergency Management office in Sidney.

Some Michigan residents are sending a big load of Easter baskets to Iowa to cheer up children impacted by the Missouri River flooding.

About 500 Easter baskets are en route to Sidney, Iowa, said Mike Crecilius, Fremont County’s emergency management director. The baskets will be distributed Friday and Saturday at the Fremont County Emergency Management Agency at 2014 290th Ave., in Sidney.

The office will give out baskets from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Baskets will be available Saturday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Crecelius said.
