The 2019 high school football season kicked off Thursday night as Anselmo-Merna hosted Twin Loup. The Twin Loup Wolves jumped out early and went on to claim a 44-22 victory over AM. Twin Loup quarterback Quade Young had a big night for the Wolves. Young threw for 3 touchdowns and ran for another. Young connected with Lathyn Collins for touchdowns of 10 and 37 yards and connected with Bryce Lamb for a 10 yard touchdown and also scored on a 5 yard touchdown run. Colby Coons had a 5 yard touchdown run to account for the other Twin Loup points. Cass McGinn had two touchdown runs and Jace Leibhart connected with Destry Miller for an 8 yard touchdown pass to account for the AM scoring.
