Ogallala hosted its cross country invite on Thursday. The Broken Bow boys team finished third behind champion Sidney and runner-up Gothenburg. The boys individual champion was William Anderson of Gothenburg with a winning time of 17:24.09. Broken Bow placed four runners in the top 25 led by Daine Wardyn who placed fifth in a time of 17:55.47. Noah Osmond placed 11th (18:13.46). Trey Hurlburt was 23rd (18:55.01) and Casey Faulkenberry placed 24th (18:56.22). Colin Rooney of Sandhills Valley (Stapleton/McPherson County) placed 7th overall in a time of 17:59.77.
Ogallala and Chadron tied for 1st and 2nd in the girls team standings. Miah Hoppens of Ogallala was the individual champion with a winning time of 20:11.2. Broken Bow placed 9th in the team standings and was led by Makinley Tobey who placed 14th overall with a time of 22:01.2.
