Heat advisory in effect until 8 pm Thursday

Afternoon high temperatures in our listening area will be between 100 and 103 degrees.

A heat advisory is in effect until 8 pm CDT for Chase, Hayes, Frontier, and Custer counties, but most of western and north central Nebraska will experience warm temperatures.

During a heat advisory stay in an air-conditioned place as much as possible, avoid strenuous activities, wear light clothing, check on family members and neighbors, drink plenty of fluids, and never leave people or pets in a closed car.
