Custer County Board of Supervisors Accept Bids for Two Upcoming Projects

CUSTER COUNTY – The Custer County Board of Supervisors held its last meeting in January. All members were present.

The board started by approving minutes, and mail and listening to committee reports and the end-of-month claims.

Zoning Administrator, Darcti Tibbs appointed John E Slagle, Mike Kozeal, and Rod Baillie to the Planning Commission, and Lynn French and Tom Myers to the Board of Adjustment which was approved by the Board.

Resolution #6R-2024 to declare part of road #478 as vacated was approved. The Board offered part of road #478 to the Broken Bow Township to which they stated they would not take it.

One contractor bid was accepted for both Project C21(410)A1, Gates NW, and Project C21(413)AS, Ansley South. The winning bid went to Ace/Eaton Metals. Project C21(410)A1 will cost approximately $31,900.50, and project C21(413)AS will cost approximately 26,891.20 and both projects will take 10-18 weeks to complete after the drawings are approved.

Custer County Sheriff Dan Osmond asked the board if he could up comp time from 85 hours, or two weeks,  to 120 hours, or three weeks. Comp time is like an extra savings account for overtime that was accrued. The Board asked Sherriff Osmond to talk to HR and this was tabled until the next meeting.

Sarah Parliment and Charles Blowers did the quarterly jail visit.
