15th Annual Comstock Cowboy Poet Gathering on Oct. 31

COMSTOCK–The 15th Annual Comstock Cowboy Poetry & Music Gathering will be held Saturday October 31 at the Wescott Baptist Church in Comstock, NE (101 N Custer Street). Day sessions will begin at 1 p.m. and continue through the afternoon. A donation-priced supper will be served by the church youth at 5:45 p.m.

The evening performance will begin at 7 p.m. and will feature R.P. Smith of Broken Bow; Greg Hagar of Valley Center, North Dakota; Tim Krebs of Lewis, Colorado; Jan Schiferl of Fordyce, NE; and Marty Blocker of Cody, NE. Among other musicians and poets performing will be Sam Connell of Tryon, NE; Newly Holmes of Naponee, NE; Jake Riley of Riverdale, NE; Jacque Trumbull of Stapleton, NE; and Don Schauda of Comstock, NE.

A spirited Pie Auction will close out the day’s activities. There is NO ADMISSION CHARGE and all proceeds from the supper and auction will benefit the Youth Group’s Samaritan’s Purse Shoebox project.

Cowboy Church will be held on Sunday Morning, Nov 1 at 10:30 a.m. featuring several of the poets and singers.

The press release states that “Covid protocol is to be voluntarily observed.”
