Karen White age 83 of Sargent, NE passed away April 12, 2026, at the Brookestone View in Broken Bow, NE.
Memorial Services will be held on Monday, April 27, 2026, at 10:30 AM at the Sargent United Methodist Church in Sargent, NE. Burial will follow in the Mt. Hope Cemetery. Karen Ruth White was born on May 5, 1942, at Scottsbluff, NE to Walt and Marjorie (Wilkie) Moomey. Karen grew up in the Bayard area. The family moved to Sargent Karen’s Junior year of high school. She graduated from Sargent High School as their class Salutatorian.
On June 4, 1960, Karen united in marriage to Danny White. Karen ran the Café at the Sale Barn, then a Café in Gretna, returning to Sargent in 1973. Then the couple moved to York for a while. Karen road with Danny in the truck. The couple returned once again to Sargent 12 years ago.
Karen loved to knit, crochet, and sew. She collected Carousel Horses.
Karen was preceded in death by her parents, a son Nic, brother Ken Moomey, and a grandson Ryan Moser.
Karen is survived by her husband Danny of Sargent, son Randy (Amy) White of Broken Bow, daughter Tam Moser of York. five grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, brothers Doug (Suzy) Moomey of Sheridan, WY, and David Moomey of Wellington, CO, sister Andrea (Donnie) Bockhahn of Boreman, MT, and many nieces and nephews.
