Heidi Lynell Holm was born to Mary (Gallup) Benne and Leo Olson on October 23, 1961, at Oakland Memorial Hospital in Oakland, Nebraska. She passed away on December 31, 2025, at St. Francis Hospital in West Point, Nebraska.
Heidi graduated from Oakland-Craig High School in 1980. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy from Creighton University in Omaha.
On October 7, 1995, Heidi married Brent Holm in Oakland at First Evangelical Lutheran Church. They lived in Silver Creek, Nebraska, for 30 years. Heidi worked as an occupational therapist in York, Columbus, and the surrounding areas for 25 years. She was an animal lover and had dogs and many cats throughout her lifetime. She enjoyed furthering her education to learn new ways to help clients at work, traveling, theatre, concerts, and Christmas was her favorite time of year.
Survivors include her husband, Brent Holm of Mason City; mother, Mary Benne of Oakland; sisters, Angie Loomis of Oakland and Alea (John) McGill of Ada, MI; nephews, Cody Loomis of Fremont, Matthew Licari, Anthony Licari, Trevor Zarkowski and Alex Zarkowski; nieces, Kate Wickwire and Chelsey Loomis of Oakland, Liza (Dave) Campbell of Grand Rapids, MI, Sammy Licari, Shay Holm, Keely Holm, Morgan Holm and Katie Jacobs.
A memorial service will be held Friday, May 1, 2026 at 10:30 AM at First Evangelical Lutheran Church, 201 North Davis Avenue, Oakland, NE 68045.
