Funeral Services for John Lytle, age 58
December 30, 1963 - December 10, 2022

John E Lytle age 58 of Sargent, NE died December 10, 2022, due to a traffic accident in rural Custer County.  Lieu of flowers memorials will be offered to the family.

Memorial services will be Saturday, December 17, 2022, at 3:00 pm at the Community Center at Sargent, NE with Military Honors.

John Edward Lytle was born on December 30, 1963, in Burwell, NE to Clarence and Wilma Lytle. On December 10, 2022, he gained his wings and now lives in our hearts. John lived in Burwell and graduated from high school in 1982. After high school he worked construction on the Calamus Reservoir up until the time he joined the Marine Corp. He joined the Marine Corp in 1985 and served until 1989 as a tank crewman.  John obtained his Rifle Expert Badge, Pistol Sharpshooter Badge, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon, and Meritorious Mast (2nd Award). John was in the First Tank Battalion in the First Marine Division based out of Camp Pendleton, CA.

John enjoyed hunting, fishing, and playing pool. He also enjoyed hanging out with friends, family, and helping others when he could. John was loved by many, probably hated by more! If you had the pleasure of knowing this jar head and knew him, you know he would do anything for anyone that appreciated what he did for them. That’s just who he was!

Surviving John is his wife Brenda Lytle, daughter Sarah and Daniel Pressler of Nashville, AR, son Joshua Marshall of Sargent, NE, 2 grandchildren Taylor Spoo and Kyler Pressler of Nashville, AR and soon to be another granddaughter, River Pressler of Nashville, AR and sister Betty Jo Craven from Murfreesboro, AR. Nieces and nephews include Bobbi Craven, Brandi and Bobby Belgard, Joe Lamb, Michelle Kearns, Dustin and Lindsay Craven as well as many great nieces and nephews and a great great nephew.

John was preceded in death by his parents Clay and Wilma Lytle, his brother Jimmie Lytle, his sister Deborah Lytle-Kinney, and her son Joshua James Lytle.

Memorial services will take place on Saturday, December 17, 2022 at 3:00pm at the Community Center in Sargent, NE with military honors. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the family. Donations can be sent to: Brenda Lytle, PO Box 292, Sargent, NE. 68874.
