Deborah Ann “Deb” Bacon, 64, died Monday, August 31, 2026 at Great Plains Health in North Platte, Nebraska.
Deb was born September 25, 1961 in Las Vegas, Nevada to Dean and Helen (Merry) Bacon. After Dean was discharged from the service, the family moved to the Lisco, Nebraska area. When it came time to attend elementary school, Deb went to the nearby Lisco School. Deb attended Garden County High School in Oshkosh, where she graduated in 1979.
After graduation Deb worked on some ranches until she got a job at Morgan’s Cowpoke Store. When Morgan closed the manufactory part of the store, Deb worked a couple jobs in Alliance. Deb began working at Sandhill Oil in Hyannis 2010. Deb thoroughly enjoyed working at Sandhill Oil where she got to visit with the public and make friends.
For Deb, her dogs were her babies and were great company to her. Deb enjoyed her great nieces and nephews, and attended their events as often as she could. Deb’s hobbies were taking care of her yard, watching the Hallmark Channel, watching rodeo, NASCAR, Husker and Denver Bronco football along with the Husker volleyball ladies.
Deb is survived by her brother, Larry (Sheila) Bacon of Merna, Nebraska; her nieces, Janice (Grayson) Lukasik of Florence, Montana, and Sarah Szakacs of Bingham, Nebraska; her great nieces, Rylee Bacon, Emery Bacon, Ali Lukasik, and Bentlee Bacon; and her great nephews, Gavin Lukasik and Weston Szakacs.
Deb was preceded in death by her parents, and her nephew Spencer Bacon.
Memorial Services will be held Saturday, October 10, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. at the Bingham Lutheran Church. Please dress casual or feel free to wear Husker or Bronco gear.
