Bill Baxter, age 46, of Broken Bow, NE passed away October 1, 2025, at his home in
Broken Bow.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 6, 2025, at 10:30 AM at the Broken
Bow Municipal Auditorium. Burial will follow in the Broken Bow Cemetery. Memorials are
suggested to Family. The family requests casual attire. A visitation will be held on
Sunday, October 5 th , from 4:00 to 6:00 PM, at Govier Brothers Mortuary in Broken Bow.

William “Bill” Roy Baxter was born on May 27, 1979, in Broken Bow, NE to Rod and B J (McCandless) Baxter. Bill passed on October 1, 2025.
Bill was raised on the family farm five miles north of Broken Bow. He attended school at Broken Bow and graduated in 1998. Bill then attended Southeast Community College in Milford, NE majoring in welding. Bill began working for Ken Neville Welding until Ken’s death. Bill and his parents then purchased the welding shop in 2015 and renamed it “Baxter Welding”.
Bill was an avid husker fan, watching husker football games with Christina and the kids. He also loved helping at the farm, especially working with the cattle.
Bill married Dani Gates and to this union two children were born. Keegan William in 2003 and Kinley Adyson in 2006.
Bill married his best friend Christina Burnett on July 16, 2014. Bill gained four bonus children with this marriage. Briann Marie, Tyler James, Bailey Renea, and Tate Reese.
Bill was preceded in death by his grandparents Bill & Irma Baxter and Bill & Isabelle McCandless, Aunt Kathy & Uncle Charlie, and special companion their dog “Lucy”.
Bill is survived by wife Christina, children Keegan, Kinley, Briann, Tyler, Bailey, and Tate, grandchildren Abigail, William, and Layna, his parents Rod and B J, sisters Tressa (Jim) White, Kattie (Scott) Reicheneker, brother Tony (Adrienne) Baxter, many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
