The UNK Class B/C indoor track invite took place in Kearney on Saturday. Among the teams competing were South Loup and Arcadia/Loup City. Among the area highlights, it was a big day for Arcadia/Loup City’s Tayler Obermiller. Obermiller won the girls 400 (1:02.23), the girls 800 (2:30.87), and was runner up in the girls long jump with an effort of 16’6″. Ethan Furne of South Loup won the boys long jump with a winning effort of 21′ 6″.
Dylan Pandorf of South Loup was third in the boys 400. Tyce Calleroz of ALC was runner up in the boys 200 and fourth in the 60 meter dash. Wyatt Stieb of ALC was fifth in the boys shot put and fifth in the discus. Caleb McFate of South Loup was 5th in the boys 60 meter hurdles. Dawson Mason of South Loup was sixth in the boys pole vault.
Ella Cool of South Loup was runner up in the girls 1600. Erin Fitzgerald of South Loup was runner up in the girls 400. Jade Bierman of South Loup was runner in the girls 800 and was fifth in the girls high jump. Neltje Reiff of South Loup was sixth in the girls triple jump. Olivia Fitzgerald of South Loup was fifth in the girls 60 meter dash. Morgan Rademacher of ALC was sixth in the girls shot put. In the girls discus, Rylee Kursave of ALC was fourth and Evalynn Wonch of South Loup was fifth.
In the boys 4 x 800 meter relay, South Loup was third and ALC was sixth. In the boys 4 x 400, South Loup placed fourth. In the girls 4 x 400 relay, South Loup placed fourth.
