South Loup and Sandhills Valley Compete at Hershey/NPSP Track Meet

South Loup and Sandhills Valley were among the five teams that competed at the Hershey / North Platte St. Pat’s track and field meet on Tuesday.  Some of the individual highlights for the two teams included Tad Dimmitt of Sandhills Valley sweeping the boys throwing events.  Dimmitt won the boys shot put with an effort of 53’ .25” and won the discus with an effort of 150’ 11”.  Isaac Goosey of Sandhills Valley won the boys 800 meters in a winning time of 2:09.66.  South Loup’s Cache Gracey won the boys 400 in a winning time of 51.96.  South Loup won both the boys 4×400 and 4×800 meter relays.  The team of Dylan Pandorf, Logan Recoy, Cache Gracey, and Silas Cool posted a winning time of 3:36.72 in the 4×400 and the team of Trey Connell, Silas Cool, Logan Recoy, and Dylan Pandorf won the 4×800 in a time of 8:49.1.

On the girls side, Tallianna Martin of South Loup was a double gold medal winner winning the girls mile in a time of 5:58.38 and winning the 3200 in a time of 13:15.29.  South Loup’s Charli Vickers swept the girls hurdles winning the 100 meter hurdles in a time of 17.2 and winning the 300 meter hurdles in a time of 51.15 seconds.
