South Loup and Arcadia/Loup City were among the teams that competed at the C-8 district track and field championships in Ord on Thursday. Kearney Catholic won the girls team title with 168 points. South Loup finished 5th in the girls standings with 41 points and ALC finished 9th in the girls team standings with 21 points. North Platte St. Pat’s won the boys team title with 160 points. South Loup was fifth in the boys standings with 47 points.
State qualifiers for South Loup included:
Logan Recoy – placed 2nd in both boys 400 and 800
Ethan Furne – qualified based on performance in boys long jump
Ella Cool – placed 2nd in girls 3200
Charli Vickers – placed 2nd in girls 300 meter hurdles
State qualifiers for Arcadia/Loup City included:
Tayler Obermiller – placed 2nd in girls 400 and champion in 800
