Sandhills Valley hosted its girls wrestling tournament on Saturday. West Holt was the team champion with 197.5 followed by Ord in second place with 187.5 points. Broken Bow finished third with 129 points and SEM was fourth with 105.5.

Broken Bow placed five wrestlers in the top four of their weight class including four runner up finishes. Zoe Jones was runner up at 120 lbs. Lailah Jones was runner up at 125, Stayci Medina Lopez was runner up at 170 and Ida Bumgarner was runner up at 195. Alexis Pflaster placed fourth at 145 lbs.

SEM placed three wrestlers in the top four of their weight class. Ellie Scoville was runner up at 155 lbs. Kaiya Ellis was third at 135 and Olivia McDonald was third at 120 lbs.

Ansley/Litchfield’s Bayler Clay was the champion at 105 lbs. and teammate Gracie Reitz placed fourth at 130 lbs.

Rylee Kursave of Arcadia/Loup City was the champion at 170 lbs. and teammate Elliott Dorsey was fourth at 155 lbs.

Other area highlights included Mattee Zutavern of Sandhills/Thedford placing third at 170 lbs. and Alexis Stutzman of Sandhills Valley placed 4th at 100 lbs.
