The Sandhills/Thedford boys basketball team will face Wausa for the D2-2 district championship and the right to move on to the boys state basketball tournament next week in Lincoln. S/T is 12-12 this season and advanced to the district finals by winning the D2-9 sub district title with wins over Mullen (51-35) and Hyannis (43-32). The Knights will be looking to qualify for the boys state tournament for the third time as a co-op and for the first time since 2011. Wausa is 22-3 and qualified for the district finals as a wildcard after falling to Wynot in the D2-4 sub district championship game. The game was scheduled for today in Albion at Boone Central High School but because of bad weather conditions has been postponed and moved to Wednesday with a tip off time of 6:30 p.m. The game will be broadcast on KBBN 95.3 FM and kbbn.com.
