Registration is now open for most sports for the upcoming 39th annual Cornhusker State Games which is scheduled to take place July 14-30 in Lincoln, Omaha, and several other Nebraska communities.
According to the Nebraska Sports Council, more than 1500 Nebraskans have already signed up to compete in the mid summer sports festival which offers competition in more than 70 sports. Over 10,000 total participants are expected again this year.
To take advantage of discounted entry fees, those interested are encouraged to register early as officials have announced that entry fees for most sports will begin to increase after April 21st. Those interested in competing can find more information and register at CornhuskerStateGames.com
The Cornhusker State Games is conducted by the Nebraska Sports Council whose mission is to provide sporting events and programs that educate and motivate Nebraskans to live healthy, active lives. The Games are funded primarily through sponsorships from more than 100 Nebraska businesses.
