Ravenna hosted its annual cross country invitational on Thursday. Kearney Catholic won the girls team title followed by Ravenna in second and Cozad was third. The individual champion was Jaelyn Witter of Kearney Catholic in a winning time of 23:13.6. Among the area highlights, South Loup placed two runners in the top ten. Ivy Tullis was 6th (24:28.3) and Ella Cool was 8th (24:45.8). Cozad placed two runners in the top 20. Audrey Baker was 14th and Jorja Yocum was 16th.
Doniphan-Trumbull won the boys team title followed by Kearney Catholic in second and Cozad was third. The individual champion was Kaser Johnson of Doniphan-Trumbull in a winning time of 17:46.1. Among the area highlights, Josiah Coleman of South Loup finished in the top 15 placing 13th in a time of 20:00.6. Connor Sutton of Sandhills/Thedford was right behind in 14th in a time of 20:02. Cozad placed two runners in the top ten. Koang Deng was 6th (18:41.4) and Lorenzo Levario was 8th (19:08.6).
