The Nebraska School Activities Association has released the classifications for high school football teams based on enrollment numbers for the 2024 and 2025 seasons. The most notable changes for teams in the KCNI/KBBN coverage area show South Loup moving up to Class D1 and Ansley/Litchfield classified in D6 (Six Man). Broken Bow, Gothenburg, and Cozad will compete in Class C1 the next two seasons. Joining South Loup in Class D1 from the area are Arcadia/Loup City and Sandhills Valley. Area teams classified in Class D2 include Anselmo-Merna, Burwell, Twin Loup, Sandhills/Thedford, and Mullen. SEM is classified in six man.
