The Nebraska School Activities Association has released the brackets and pairings for girls sub district basketball tournaments which begin next week.
Broken Bow will compete in the C1-8 sub district hosted by top seed Milford. Broken Bow will face #2 seed Central City on Tuesday (2/17). Top seed Milford will face the winner of Monday’s game between David City and GICC. Tuesday’s winners will meet for the sub district championship on Thursday (2/19). All Broken Bow games from the sub district tournament will be broadcast on KCNI 96.3 FM / kcni1280.com / Free KCNI Pure Country App.
SEM is the top seed and host team of the D2-8 sub district tournament. SEM will face Twin Loup on Tuesday (2/17) with the winner advancing to Thursday’s sub final where they will face the winner of Anselmo-Merna vs Sandhills/Thedford. All games from the D2-8 tournament will be broadcast through Central Nebraska’s Sports Source with a live video stream of every game, accompanied by the play-by-play call, available through the Sandhills Express Facebook Page and Sandhills Express You Tube Channel.
Ansley/Litchfield and South Loup will be among the teams competing at the D1-10 sub district in Overton. South Loup will face top seed Overton and Ansley/Litchfield will face #2 seed Brady. The winners will meet for the sub district title on Thursday (2/19)
Mullen is the top seed at the D2-12 sub district. The Lady Broncos will host the tournament and will play Tuesday (2/17) against the winner of Monday’s game between Hyannis and Cody-Kilgore. On the other side of the bracket, #2 seed Hay Springs will face Crawford.
Arcadia/Loup City will compete in the C2-7 sub district tournament at Hastings. ALC will face Ravenna on Monday (2/16) with the winner advancing to play top seed Hastings St. Cecilia. Burwell will compete in the D1-7 sub district tournament at Greeley. Burwell will face Fullerton on Monday with the winner advancing to play top seed Central Valley.
Cozad and Gothenburg will both compete in the C1-10 sub district tournament at Ogallala. Cozad will play Bridgeport on Monday with the winner advancing to play #2 seed Gothenburg. Top seed Ogallala will face the winner of Monday’s game between Chadron and Chase County.
