The 2021 Nebraska State High School Finals Rodeo was held June 17-19 at the Adams County Fairgrounds in Hastings. Among the area highlights, Madison Mills placed first in both the barrel racing and pole bending. Mills also claimed the girls all around championship for the state finals. Spencer DeNaeyer of Seneca was the only cowboy to have three qualified rides in winning the bareback competition. Cooper Bass of Brewster had the top combined score to win the boys cutting. Dane Pokorny of Stapleton was tops in the average to win the steer wrestling.
After the points from the state finals rodeo were calculated in, the following area cowboys and cowgirls claimed state titles.

Cooper Bass of Brewster was also honored as the state’s boys all around champion for 2021.
