The Nebraska American Legion baseball Class B and Class C seniors state tournaments begin this weekend. The Class B tournament is divided into two divisional tournaments with the winners of each division to meet for the championship. The Class B American division tournament will be hosted by Springfield and the Class B National division tournament will be hosted by Central City. The Class C state tournament will be hosted by Pender. The double elimination tournaments begin on Saturday (8/1).
Opening round games in Class B National Division tournament include:
Area 7 champion Auburn vs Area 3 runner-up Omaha Roncalli
Area 1 champion Hickman vs Area 6 runner-up Holdrege
Area 2 representative Plattsmouth vs Area 5 champion (Host team) Central City
Area 5 representative West Point vs Area 4 runner-up York
Opening round games in Class B American Division tournament include:
Area 7 runner-up Alliance vs Area 3 champion Mount Michael of Elkhorn
Area 1 runner-up Crete vs Area 6 champion McCook
Area 2 champion Lincoln Christian vs Area 5 runner-up Wayne
