The official lineup for the 2026 Nebraska Girls Basketball Showcase was released on Monday (11/17). The event will take place on January 10th, 2026 at Kearney High School. The event was started and created by Broken Bow head girls basketball coach Kelly Cooksley.
Mullen will make another appearance at the showcase this season. The Lady Broncos are coming off an outstanding 2024-25 season finishing 19-3 overall. Mullen won the MNAC tournament championship and fell just one game short of a state tournament appearance falling to Wilcox-Hildreth in the D2-5 district final last season. Mullen will face Arapahoe in the girls showcase. Arapahoe finished 16-10 in Class D1 last season. The Mullen / Arapahoe matchup will tip off at 8:50 a.m. and will be the first of eight games at the showcase.
Broken Bow will face Fort Calhoun in this year’s showcase. Broken Bow finished 18-7 last season. The Lady Indians qualified for the district finals as a wildcard last season but fell just short of qualifying for the state tournament finishing as the C1-6 district runner up to Columbus Scotus. Broken Bow’s opponent at the showcase will be Fort Calhoun. Fort Calhoun finished 16-9 in Class C1 last season. The Broken Bow / Fort Calhoun matchup will be game #5 at the showcase and will tip at 3:30.
The Mullen and Broken Bow games will both be broadcast live on KBBN 95.3 FM and kbbn.com.

8:30 PM – Kearney vs Gothenburg
