The 2026 Nebraska Girls Basketball Showcase takes place today in Kearney at Kearney High School. This marks the sixth year of the event which was created by Broken Bow head girls basketball coach Kelly Cooksley. Mullen will face Arapahoe in the first of eight games today at the showcase. This is the second appearance at the showcase for Mullen. The Lady Broncos played in the inaugural event back in 2021 where they defeated Louisville 44-27. Today’s game is scheduled to tip off at 8:50 this morning and will be broadcast on KBBN 95.3 FM and kbbn.com.
Broken Bow has appeared in every showcase since its inception. The Lady Indians hold a 3-2 mark at the showcase. Broken Bow’s wins at the showcase came against Oakland Craig in 2021, Auburn in 2022, and last year against Freeman. This year Broken Bow will face Fort Calhoun. The game is scheduled to tip off at 3:30 this afternoon and will be broadcast on KBBN 95.3 FM and kbbn.com.
